On the subject of the tablet, I must say that I am quite pleased with its performance. Just to let you guys know what I have experianced I will share my findings with you.
(Wacom Intous 3 6x8)
1) Size of the tablet 6x8
-every point on the tablet matches a point on screen, it seems to me as thou the pointer on the screen seems to move slightly slower than the pen in your hand. This give you an easier margin for error and makes the drawing smoother.
2) Pressure Sensitivity
-the most obvious advantage is the pressure sensitivity for use of increasing line sizes, opacity ect.. However on the other hand, when erasing it also uses the pressure sensitivity therefore making you guess as to how hard to press on the mat.
3) Hot keys
-the hot keys are nice, but they can't be set to photoshop functions as I had previously thought. Instead they corrospond to various buttons on the keyboard (shift, ctrl, space, enter). Its useful when I'm watching shows in winamp (I can easily pause the show by hitting the space button on the tablet), but for the average photoshop session the only button I use is the shift button during selections. The zoom buttons are extreamly handy, I mean whoa, I'm very glad they were put there; makes my life easier.
4) The Pen
-very comfortable, thats all I have to say.
5) The mouse
-never used it. hehe!
6) Last notes
-expensive as it might have been, the tablet is a huge benefit to my artwork. I recommend it highly to anyone who is looking to purchase something that will help the with their artwork.
Don't worry, soon i'll be submitting more artwork.
